INAUGURATION OF THE CENTRAL REGION 2030 DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY.

The management of the Central Regional Coordinating Council led by the Hon. regional minister, Hon Justina Marigold Assan inaugurated committees to develop a regional development strategy on Thursday, 3rd February, 2022.

This development strategy dubbed, “Central Region 2030 development strategy sought to adopt programs and projects to raise the standard of living of the people of the Central Region and above all attract the needed investment from the private sector and government to transform the region.

The regional minister, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan said that there was an urgent need and a high sense of inclusiveness from all stakeholders to develop homegrown strategies to spur a radical shift in the structure of the regional economy to create an enabling environment for economic growth and human development.

The chief director of the CRCC, Mr. Kingsley Boahene acknowledged and appreciated all members who agreed to join forces to develop the blueprint. He indicated that management intended to embark on wide consultation with stakeholders especially MMDAs, HODs, the private sector, the academia, our traditional authorities as well as identifiable groups for the successful development and implementation of the strategies.

The president of the regional house of chiefs in his speech said that as chiefs, they shared the same vision and believed in the need to have a united front to spur the development of the region.
